A brother in need: Dominance MMA
Hey Guys,
One our members, Travis Meyer has been diagnosed with a malignant brain tumor. He has since had surgery where they got most of it. Unfortunately they found some more and he is going back into surgery on Thursday.
To add insult to injury, his employer has given him the shaft. Furthermore, they won’t pay him out until he returns his work clothes, equipment and keys to the office. As you can imagine, he’s a little preoccupied with surgeons digging around in his head.
John Simon, Dave Hart and myself will be conducting a workshop this Sunday at DMMA to help raise some much needed coin for Trav. As we all know, if you get sick the world around us keeps going and bills need to be paid. With some help from you guys we hope that we can help ease some these worries.
We intend on running this workshop a little differently. Instead of just showing a bunch of techniques that may or may not be useful to you, we will be coming around and helping answer specific problems or questions that you may be having with your game. So in that way, everyone walks away with personalised instruction. Basically a mini private to each and every participant on the mat.
We hope that anyone in the Melbourne and Geelong area can spare the time and a little money to help out a fellow BJJer. The details are:
Where: DMMA, 555 Victoria St, Abbotsford
When: Sunday 14th 10 – 12ish
Cost: $30
So for your $30 you will have 3 black belts on the mat going around helping you with specifics on improving your game. That’s pretty good value…and you’ll get the warm n fuzzies knowing that you are helping someone that could really use it at the moment.
Hope to see you there.
